On course for growth with Overslagbedrijf De Feijter

Multi Logistics Group recently welcomed a new partner to its group. Transhipment company De Feijter, which has almost three decades of expertise in loading and unloading ships along the Ghent-Terneuzen-Vlissingen axis, joins Multi Logistics Group. This strategic partnership enables Multi Logistics Group to offer even more powerful multimodal logistics solutions, with a remarkable addition to their arsenal: an inland barge and a crane barge that allows ships to be loaded and unloaded at locations without a fixed unloading point.

Since 1987

Managing director Frank De Feijter has been transporting goods by boat since 1987. Ten years later, he founded the transhipment company De Feijter, which specialised in loading and unloading ships in Belgium and the Netherlands. The family business grew steadily and now has 11 cranes, a barge and a crane ship. Thanks to this partnership, Multi Logistics Group is also taking its first steps on Dutch soil.

Over the past thirty years, De Feijter has developed into a successful transhipment company with extensive machinery. With this takeover, Multi Logistics Group is taking an important step in its own growth. The acquisition adds strategic value to their service offering and expands their range with an inland barge and a crane barge. This strengthening allows Multi Logistics Group to focus on further expansion in Belgium and market exploration in the Netherlands.

"Thanks to this partnership, I can fully focus on my core business."

Joining forces

With this joining of forces, Multi Logistics Group adds a robust logistics partner, including 20 experienced employees, 11 modern cranes, a barge and a crane barge, further strengthening its focus on water-bound transport in the future. Johannes Lagasse, CEO of Multi Logistics Group, emphasises the importance of this acquisition: "Thanks to the acquisition of this crane barge, we can now load and unload ships at locations without a fixed unloading quay. With this, we offer an extra service to our customers and distinguish ourselves from our competitors."

Meanwhile, managing director Frank De Feijter, assisted by his wife Fenny and son Marinco, remains at the helm of the company. He can count on Multi Logistics Group's support in sales, HR, IT, finance, legal and marketing.
